Posted on Tripadvisor Karen AnsaraVerified BIC Tours run by Sam Mugisha, led an exceptional trip from Rwanda to Uganda for my group of Harvard fellows. The advance communication was thorough and impeccable. Every logistical detail was managed smoothly by an extremely congenial and caring staff of drivers. Excursions varied from visiting the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Center, the Genocide Memorial, a safari, visits to NGOs, and to an expansive educational and foster care program, Nyaka in Uganda. The hotel and restaurant choices were lovely. When I developed a severe medical problem Sam rebooked my flights, arranged medical care for me at the airport, and stayed at my side until I was settled. BIC Tours feels like family now. It was an experience of a lifetime.Posted on Tripadvisor Ampumuza SVerified 🦍 Kahungye The Kahungye Gorilla Group tracking experience in Rushaga was fantastic, Trip was well planned and executed. We recently had a fun, smooth, and insightful trip with Bic Tours. It was a 3 day trip starting in Kampala and heading out to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Our guide picked us up in Kampala right from our place, and made it an enjoyable, comfortable journey driving across the country. Our guide loved answering questions, pulled over to discuss certain regions we passed or pick up goods from local markets. Once in Queen Elizabeth our guide shared interesting and fun information about the flora and fauna, and did their best to find wildlife. Over our three days around the park, we were able to see elephants, water buffalo, a leopard and their newborn, hippos, kobs, a python, chimps, crocodiles, crested cranes and a myriad of other birds. Our guide had excellent relationships and communication with other guides in the park to help find where the wildlife was. Their experience as a trekking guide in the past was evident, they were incredibly intelligent and knew how to create a memorable experience for us guests. Side note: our guide always made sure that we were safe and adequately aware of our surroundings. Throughout the trip our guide was extremely respectful, fun, and willing to adapt to our needs as a group. I highly recommend booking a trip with Bic Tours.Posted on Tripadvisor Yoshiko KVerified Posted on Tripadvisor Kira MacDougallVerified Good company for the most part Overall, we had a positive experience with this company. We booked white water rafting down the Nile with them, Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Park, and Murchison Falls safari. For the most part, they were good to communicate with. We enjoyed the experiences themselves we just felt ripped off during our last Safari trip. We were given an itinerary for the weekend, which ended up not being followed and we lost out on 2 game drives. The hotel they booked for us didn't have water, so they moved us to another hotel, which didn't have electricity. They then offered to move us again to another hotel. We agreed. The hotel they moved us to was very nice but much more expensive. They told us the company paid for that night in the hotel. They then asked us if we wanted to pay an additional $80 each to stay there another night or move to another, cheaper, nearby hotel within the park. We had already paid a lot of money and said we would prefer to move to another hotel nearby as long as we wouldn't miss out on any of our game drives, otherwise we would pay the extra $80.We were told our itinerary would not be changing. I asked them what hotel we would be moving to and they said they weren't able to tell us at that time but assured us it would be nearby and in the park. Well, later that day we found out the hotel was 2 hours away and we would not be returning for our game drive that evening or the following morning. We felt lied to and asked if we could still pay the extra $80 and stay at the same hotel, and get our 2 extra game drives. They said we had already made our decision and it was too late. They were not able to compensate us for the 2 missed game drives and we were not happy with how the company communicated with us. With that being said, our guide Ronald was incredible. He really made the trip exceptional and I would highly recommend requesting him to be your guide. We had him for the gorilla trekking trip and liked him so much requested to have him again for the Safari. He was so knowledgeable about the animals in the park. The lions can sometimes be very hard to find and he was able to skillfully track them using their prints and the vultures overhead. We say lions on 3 different occasions and even saw a lion cub! Without him, we never would have seen them and our friend who went on a safari with another company the weekend before didn't. I can't say enough great things about him!Posted on Tripadvisor Jerry vVerified Unforgettable experience In September 2017 me and my partner did a trip designed by Samuel Mugisha, prepared and organised by Ederu Ramulati, and hosted by guide Ro bert Wambi of BIC Tours. Samuel and his team are truly passionate to realize their promise: "We will do our best to make your travel with us in Rwanda &Uganda memorable". I approached Samuel of BIC Tours after a tip of my cousin that lives in Rwanda to propose me a itinery for the trip that should tick from my bucket list "visit Gorilla's in the wild". The enthousiasm and drive of Samuel instantly convinced me I found the right team to take care of my trip. Within a few days I received the itinery of what would turn out to be one of the most memorable trips in my life. The trip had a variety of nature, wild life, game drives, boat trips and cultural encounters with the local people. The team of BIC Tours demonstrated to be dedicated to make our trip a success and to put Uganda in our minds forever. BIC Tours is a very reliable, dedicated and committed tour operator that I would like to recommed to all who read this review. You will have the trip of your life. Next to Ederu who in the background coordinated all the logistics for our trip, I do want to thank Robert Wambi for guiding and driving us. Robert, thank you for finding for us the wild life we wanted to see, telling us about the history, life and challenges of Uganda, and being a great company during our trip. It was a pleasure to travel with you. When we come back we will ensure we will meet and catch up over a Nile Special.Posted on Tripadvisor shaleenmorganVerified Amazing tour company in Uganda! I booked a raft trip, Murchison Falls safari, and gorilla trekking through BIC tours. They were very thorough and professional with all matters regarding price quotations, lodging accommodations, and transport flexibility. The raft trip was an amazing, exhilarating experience that I would highly recommend. Murchison Falls safari was a must-do during your time in Uganda. If within your budget, the gorilla trekking is a once in a lifetime experience. I would recommend asking for tour guides Robert or Ronald. They both went above and beyond to make the trips enjoyable. Ronald was very familiar with Murchison Falls Park and was able to track down lions for us! Robert was very knowledgeable about the sights we drove by and would educate me on the culture, traditions, and history of Uganda.Posted on Tripadvisor aprimackVerified Wonderful family trip We recently took a 2 week tour with a family of 8 including three generations (children were 10 and 13) to Uganda. We traveled over a great deal of the country and stayed in various game reserves (including one with many rhimos, one with a huge number chimpanzees on their own island, and several with lost of diverse game with elephants, giraffes, many kinds of antelope, warthogs, etc. We also visited friends we had met on previous trips and when we lived there many, many years ago. The trip was planned by BIC tours with our input. BIC tours did a superb job of planning and executing the trip. The drivers and vans were great. They were always there for us and were flexible and knowledgeable about the whole country. The accommodations were really fine. They were comfortable, up-to-date, beautiful with many amenities. One of our specific issues was that 4 of the 8 of us are vegan and that required an extra layer of planning. Sam Mugishu, head of BIC tours, was responsive to all of the emails and helped greatly by contacting all the places we stayed and all the restaurants so there were no surprises. The resorts and hotels were also very accommodating. We travel a lot and can state clearly that this was one of our best planned trips ever and that there is no travel company more resposive to customers' needs and desires.Load more
