Depart Entebbe or Kampala at 7am, drive towards Fort Portal via Mubende. The drive takes approx. 5 hours. Your journey to Kibale will take you through the beautiful green countryside and roadside fruit markets, among other things.
Towards Kibale, you will make a brief stop in Fort Portal town, also known as the tourism capital of Uganda due to its beauty. Proceed to your lodging and have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You may choose to tour and see some of the beautiful crater lakes found in this region.
Head to Kanyanchu park office for briefing before the start of chimp tracking. Tracking may take between 2 and 3 hours. You will be allowed an hour to view these playful, noisy apes in their natural habitat.
In the afternoon, you will engage in a nature walk in Bigodi wetland. The nature walk is good for birding and sights of primates like the Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Vervet Monkeys, and antelopes.
